2010 when my photography hobby was getting serious, I started with a Canon 550D in combination with a 24-105mm F4 Lens. In 2013 I switched to my first full-frame camera, a Canon 5D mark III. Later on I bought an additional 70-200mm lens.
In 2020 I sold everything and switched from SLR to mirrorless.

A great photographer can take beautiful photos even with the cheapest cameras.
But I’m quite a feature junky and this Sony camera makes a whole new way of photography possible.
In addition, it is of course fantastic that with so many megapixels afterwards you still have a lot of possibilities in terms of crop and compostion.
Finally, the mirror will eventually disappear, and mirrorless with EVF of course also offers all kinds of advantages.
So even though this camera is a bit expensive, I still opted for this Sony.

And maybe I’m not quite that great photographer yet. So in my case the more expensive camera is (still) justified. 😉
